100,000 patients waiting for elective surgery in New South Wales alone

Elective surgery waiting lists have blown out after national cabinet's moratorium on non-urgent operations triggered an unprecedented backlog. There now 100,000 patients waiting in New South Wales and experts say will take at least six months to clear. There are also thousands waiting in Victoria.
