As a federal election draws closer, a number of pro-climate action, pro-integrity, independent female candidates are challenging sitting MPs in comfortable Liberal electorates. Their campaigns have attracted a national interest, including from a wealthy climate action fund, but one expert says it will be an uphill battle to defeat the incumbents in some of the country's safest Liberal electorates.
