The ACT has become) the first state or territory in the country to decriminalise the personal use of cannabis.
The laws were passed last year and sparked controversy in the capital, with the Federal Government warning people could still be charged with a criminal offence federally.
It's now legal to possess up to 50 grams of dried cannabis or 150 grams of what's called 'wet cannabis' - newly-harvested cannabis.
Adults can cultivate two plants per person, four per household.
Users need to ensure the plants aren't accessible to the public or children.
