Growing demand for skills brings changes in the workforce

A shortfall in health-care and social assistance workers in Australia means workers with the necessary skills are increasingly in demand. While the sector already employs 1.8 million workers, its expected demand will soar in the coming years as Australia's ageing population grows. The number of people 65 years old and over, currently 3.8 million, is projected to nearly double by 2042,
