Rishav Rajak says he sustained a serious injury to his left eye during the Gen Z protests last year.
The 23-year-old from Sarlahi says he underwent three surgeries following the incident and has not yet received reimbursement from the government for the money he spent on his treatment.
As Nepal marks one year since the Gen Z protests in September 2025, Nepal correspondent Pratichya Dulal spoke with Rajak about the challenges and support he has received since.
