Mobile shop owned by a Nepali man in Sydney allegedly burgled; NSW Police on the case

Officers from St George Police Area Command have commenced an investigation following a report of a break, enter and steal at a mobile phone shop in southern Sydney. The NSW Police say the incident occurred between approximately 3:15 am and 4:00 am on Tuesday, 8 July 2025, on Forest Road, Hurstville. They have informed SBS Nepali that specialist officers have conducted a forensic examination of the shop and have asked anyone with information to contact St George Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 as inquiries continue. The owner of the business, Ram Chandra Gautam, speaking to SBS Nepali, has claimed that cash and some items from his shop were taken after the break-in.
