Morrison government critical of Labor's new job security promise

Casual workers who have been in the role for 12 months can ask their boss for a permanent position, under a new Fair Work Commission ruling.

Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has promised to enshrine job security in workplace law, under a plan to make the industrial regulator strengthen workers' rights. Labor has outlined a range of industrial relations policies aimed at reducing insecure work for millions of people.
