In the second part of our special five-part series, Nepali entrepreneurs Niraj Khanal and twin brothers Ram and Laxman Rimal discuss Nepal’s slow progress in moving government services online. Speaking to SBS Nepali during their visit to Australia, they share their views on the lack of IT skills and education in Nepal, the government’s approach to adopting new technology, and why some people may be reluctant to move government work fully online. They argue that the delays are not only due to a lack of skills or resources, but also a lack of intention to bring about change.
