Nepal Report: Provinces spend 61 percent of development budget, federal capital spending even lower

Nepal’s seven provincial governments spent an average of just 61 per cent of their development budgets in the last financial year, while the federal government’s capital spending stood at 46.79 per cent. Experts say low development spending across all three levels of government is slowing economic activity and job creation.
