It's day one for Australia's newest federal members, 27 new faces in the House of Representatives arriving early this morning at Parliament House.

The Class of 2019 will undertake a political boot camp for the next 2 days ahead of their first sitting week.

It's the start of a new chapter in Canberra with the new MP's from the 46th Australian Parliament taking the first steps in their political careers.

Despite coming from across the political spectrum, many felt the same first-day jitters.
