The Padma Shri Sahitya Puraskar and Padma Shri Sadhana Samman given by Khemlal-Harikala Lamichhane Social Welfare Foundation have been cancelled this year amidst a controversy. The foundation had earlier decided to award Padma Shri Sahitya Puraskar to Sanjeev Upreti and Padma Shri Sadhana Samman to Modnath Prashrita.
