The monarchy’s support has recently resulted in numerous demonstrations in Nepal, one of which turned violent, leading to the deaths of at least two individuals, including a member of the media. In Kathmandu, Girish Subedi spoke with Professor, diplomat, and writer Lok Raj Baral about the pro-royalist demonstration and its implications for the Himalayan nation.
