SBS, which began as ‘Radio 2EA’ in Sydney and ‘Radio 3EA’ in Melbourne fifty years ago, now produces content in over 60 languages. To mark its 50th Anniversary, SBS has been engaging with communities across Australia. On June 18, SBS Nepali, along with several other language services, was in the regional Queensland city of Toowoomba for a special broadcast, during which we spoke to members of the local community. In this podcast episode, we share highlights from the day, featuring Nepalese Association of Toowoomba president Dhiraj Dahal, academician Ram Prasad Acharya and nurse Sandhya Phuyal.
