The mother of Australia’s first so-called jihadi bride has pleaded for the return of her daughter and two grandchildren. In an exclusive interview, Ozlem Coskun has told SBS she believes her daughter is in imminent danger.


Zehra Duman is one of Australia’s most high profile IS brides. She left Melbourne for Syria 5 years ago to support the fight for IS leaving her family behind.

Her mother, Ozlem Coskun says she is worried about the safety of her daughter and grandchildren.
