Ordering food using mobile phone apps has become increasingly popular in the past few years. Perth resident Rahul Bajaj runs an app called "Bhoj Deals" which allows overseas users to deliver food to Nepal. He says the service is popularly used by non-resident Nepalis from countries like Australia to the UAE, as a way of surprising their friends and families back home. Mr Bajaj told SBS Nepali that he was inspired to do 'something different', after seeing the technological advancements in Australia. As someone who started his journey as an international student in Australia, he says that Nepali students can use their skills for innovation, and contribute to Nepal in many ways.
