Why is Nepal measuring happiness and prosperity of its people?

The Central Statistics Department in Nepal has announced that it will soon be measuring the happiness and prosperity of the Nepali people. Our Nepal correspondent, Pratichya Dulal sat with the Director General of the department, Sumanajaj Aryal, and quizzed him why the Department has taken up the daunting task of measuring and analysing the complex subjects like happiness, prosperity and how it plans to extract data.
