Police in New Zealand are investigating an aggravated robbery at an Auckland suburb store that left the 25-year-old store attendant injured and traumatised.
Store attendant Nilam Patel was punched and kicked repeatedly. As a result of the assault, she suffered serious facial injuries.
A CCTV camera video shows six women taking items, including cigarettes and cash after they entered the store. Two of them closed the store by pulling the shutters down.
"I feel unsafe when someone [comes] inside," she told ONE News.
"My eyes were [in pain], dark bruises, my head, my nose is also still [in pain]."
Detective Senior Sergeant Kevin McNaughton says Police need the public’s assistance to help identify those involved in the April 3 incident.
“This is absolutely appalling behaviour, and neither Police nor the Papatoetoe community will accept it. We ask anyone who may know who these offenders are to please come forward."
