Aam Admi Party convener and Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal's car was, allegedly,  pelted with stones in Ludhiana in Punjab. Kejriwal is currently on a five-day visit to the state to gauge the mood ahead of the 2017 state assembly election.

Kejriwal tweeted that his car had been attacked with sticks and stones in Punjab's Ludhiana, where he is campaigning for his Aam Aadmi Party.

He blamed Shiromani Akali Dal, a party that is in government for the past nine years.

"My car attacked with sticks and stones in Ludhiana. Front glass pane broken.Badals n congress nervous? They can't break my spirits," Mr Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, tweeted.

Party leader Ashish Khetan who is travelling with Kejriwal tweeted this picture.

"The attackers came within an inch of grievously injuring Kejriwal. It was only by God's grace that he escaped unhurt," said Khetan.
