Victoria police have charged a 32-year-old man from the northern suburb of Reservoir in Melbourne, over the alleged assault of two taxi drivers.
According to a police report, the alleged incidents took place on two separate occasions on January 19 and 25.
The alleged offender was arrested on Darebin Road in Thornbury following a short pursuit around 2.30 am on January 25.
“He was wanted for allegedly assaulting a driver and stealing his taxi in Thornbury earlier that morning,” Victoria police said in a statement to SBS Punjabi.

The alleged offender has reportedly been charged with intentionally causing injury, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, assault with a weapon, carjacking, dangerous driving whilst pursued by police, theft of motor vehicle, possess drug of dependence and criminal damage, as per the police report.
