The RMIT university has changed the information on its website that excluded Punjab School Education Board qualification from the eligibility criteria for its undergraduate courses.
SBS Punjabi's report "Confusion continues over study visa for PSEB qualified students" on Tuesday revealed that the university accepted qualifications from all other state boards for admission to its undergraduate courses, except the PSEB.
According to the university's website, it accepted qualifications from all "State Boards of Education (Higher Secondary Certificate, HSC) excluding Punjab School Education Board," in India.
When contacted by SBS Punjabi for a comment, the communications manager of RMIT university refused to answer why the Punjab School Education Board was singled out.

However, the university amended the information in the 'country specific entry requirements section' of its website on Wednesday. The words "excluding Punjab School Education Board" have now been removed.
An 'inquiries officer' official told SBS Punjabi that a decision about the suitability of a student is made on a "case-to-case basis".
SBS Punjab had reported last week how study visa application of an applicant from Punjab was rejected citing PSEB class 12 qualification.
Though the DIBP and the Australian High Commission in India have clarified that the visa refusals aren't due to the applicants' PSEB results, confusion continues to prevail as some education providers blocked out students from PSEB.
