You may have already seen the pictures of a lonely Mr. Abbott distributing flyers in the rain. But, what you have not seen and realized is how brutal a business political campaigning may be. Ask the man who was Australia’s prime minister until about nine months ago.
On the first day of his election campaign, Tony Abbott cut a lonely figure, distributing flyers to passers-by at Sydney’s Manly wharf.
But, what happened during the campaigning, perhaps Mr. Abbott wasn’t prepared for that.
A video shows a man swearing at him while the former prime minister cheerily greeted him.
“Hello! How are you?” Mr Abbott replies.
“You are a homophobic dinosaur, why don’t you %&#@ off and die,” the man darted back.
But, Mr. Abbott did not complain.
"It was good to meet with my constituents this morning at Mosman wharf," he tweeted.
