"The year 2018 marks 70 years since Australia’s modern migration system was conceived and the nation’s transformation into a vibrant multicultural society began," says Laurie Nowell from AMES Australia.
70 Up is a photo exhibition soon to be made public by AMES Australia, showcasing seven decades of migration into the country. Each of the seven decades is represented by one migrant story, and the story of Sanam Sharma, a Punjabi migrant was chosen to showcase the 1990s.
