As Australia’s national football code looks beyond traditional markets, the AFL is turning its attention to India as part of a broader effort to become more culturally inclusive. AFL CEO Andrew Dillon is undertaking a week-long visit to explore grassroots development opportunities and attend the AFL India National Championships. With more than 20,000 participants across 11 Indian states, and initiatives such as the AFL Desi platform, the league views India as a key growth market and an opportunity for cultural exchange through sport.
