In a conversation with SBS Punjabi, she shared that her parents were initially not in favour of her joining the show business.
She said she had always been in love with the creative world and made sure that her Punjabi values were never compromised as a byproduct of her success.
Discussing the male dominance in the Punjabi music and film industry, she said she chose to do singles at a time when female singers were often treated as mere “accessories” in male-dominated songs.
