Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was a Pakistani vocalist, musician and music director primarily a singer of Qawwali, a form of Sufi Islamic devotional music.


Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan had a strong adherence to devotional music that transcended through his family traditions. 

Nusrat dedicated his life to spiritual and classical music.

In August 1997, at just 48, he died of a heart attack in a hospital in London, UK.
