From student and TR visas to partner and PR: Australian visa fees hikes across most categories

From 1 July, marking the start of the 2026–27 financial year, Australia has increased application fees for almost all visa categories. The student visa application fee has risen to $2,500, while the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa now costs A$5,750. Parent and partner visa categories, which are already known for their long wait times, have seen hikes of up to 20%, along with increases to permanent residency (PR) and skilled migration application fees as well.
