Born into a Māori family, one of the Indigenous people of New Zealand, Krystal is raising her children with both Māori and Punjabi language and culture. After marrying a Punjabi man, she embraced Punjabi traditions and often shares her family's multicultural journey on social media, appearing in her Instagram videos wearing a traditional Punjabi suit and greeting viewers with a cheerful "Sat Sri Akal."
