New data shows projected declines in the road death toll are not being met and that's sparking plenty of strong feeling as to who is responsible, and why.


Operation Reset is the latest road safety  initiative launched in Victoria, with police undertaking a four-day crackdown on road offences in Melbourne's south-east.

Victoria Police's Southern Metro Region Acting Commander  Tony Silva says data from the area shows road safety  so far in 2019 is not good.
