The varroa mite started spreading in Australia in 2022 and has threatened the entire beekeeping industry ever since. ANU professor Sasha Mikheev is inviting anyone interested to help his team track the spread of the varroa mite among wild bees and potentially study the resistance mechanisms that bees develop.
