Xasaasiyadda laws-ka ee carruurta - Talooyin cusub

Peanuts and Nuts Banned at School

Peanuts and nuts are banned on entire floor at St. Phillips school. A peanut allergy is one of the most common food allergies because the peanut proteins can act as powerful allergens, even in tiny amounts. Food allergies, especially peanut allergies, are becoming a hot issue for parents, schools, restaurants, and even commercial airline services. An accidental casual contact with peanuts, or even inhaling small amounts of peanut particles can cause a severe allergic reaction and even death for those who suffer from this condition. In the U. S. alone, peanut allergy causes 100 deaths and 15,000 emergency room visits a year. (Photo by Najlah Feanny/Corbis via Getty Images) Credit: Najlah Feanny/Corbis via Getty Images
