நேற்றிரவு 8 மணியளவில் வீடொன்றினுள் கத்தி மற்றும் துப்பாக்கி ஆகிய ஆயுதங்களுடன் நுழைந்த இரு கொள்ளையர்கள், வீட்டிலுள்ளோரை அச்சுறுத்திக்கொண்டிருந்தபோதே துப்பாக்கிச் சூடு நடைபெற்றதாகவும், அதில் சிறுவனுக்கு தோற்பட்டையில் காயம் ஏற்பட்டதாகவும், அவனது தந்தைக்கு வயிற்றில் காயம் ஏற்பட்டதாகவும் தெரியவந்துள்ளது.
காயமடைந்த அவ்விருவரும் QLD Ambulance மூலம் அருகிலுள்ள வைத்தியசாலையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். அவ்வர்களுடைய காயங்கள் உயிராபத்து அற்றவையென வைத்தியர்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
கொள்ளைமுயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்ட ஆயுததாரிகளைப் போலீசார் தேடிவருகின்றனர். இச் சம்பவம் பற்றி மேலதிக விவரங்கள் தெரிந்தவர்கள் பொலிஸாரை உடனடியாகத் தொடர்புகொள்ளும் படி கேட்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
Police are hunting for two men who shot a 10-year-old boy and his father during a home invasion south of Brisbane overnight.
The men entered the house in Ammons Street at Browns Plains about 8:00pm on Tuesday armed with a machete and gun, police said, during what has been described as an attempted armed robbery.
The gun was fired during an altercation and the boy was shot in the shoulder and his 31-year-old father sustained a gunshot graze to the stomach.
Both were taken to nearby hospitals, with Queensland Ambulance Service medical director Dr Stephen Rashford saying the pair were lucky their injuries were not severe.
