இலங்கை அதிபர் பதவியேற்ற முதல் வாரத்திலேயே அதிரடியாக சில நடவடிக்கைகளை எடுத்துள்ளார். இலங்கை நாடாளுமன்றம் கலைக்கப்பட்டது மட்டுமன்றி சில ஊழல் நடவடிக்கைகளில் ஈடுபட்டவர்களுக்கு எதிரான சட்ட நடவடிக்கைகளும் எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
