An Executive of the Board of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO), her role as liaison for the Australia Ukraine Parliamentary Friendship Group has had her engaging with both State and Federal government in discourse on local multicultural matters and international affairs.
With the onset of Covid, Chrestyna’s focus on community connectivity and mental health saw her establish and manage numerous programs. This included the “Positive Living and Wellbeing” website for the AFUO, addressing the need to communicate directly to the Australian Ukrainian community and updating government initiatives, programs, and guidelines to navigate, manage, and maintain mental health.
