Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is scheduled to meet with Indigenous elders during a visit to the Torres Strait as part of talks for a voice to Parliament. Australia's unemployment rate has dropped to 3.4 per cent, with analysts saying the fall in July reflects a tight labour market. The latest workforce figures show a sharp drop in the jobless rate in June as unemployment declines to its lowest rate in 48 years. Further Coalition voices express concern over Scott Morrison's secret ministerial appointments.


United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is meeting with the leaders of Ukraine and Turkey on Thursday in Lviv, Ukraine.
