United Nations officials are calling for an increase in humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

The U-N is releasing a revised humanitarian flash appeal, with financial requirements being stepped up from $2.25 billion, to $4.3 billion.

A fragile cease-fire deal to end nearly three days of fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza appears to be holding — a sign the latest round of violence may have abated.
