Kateryna Argirou, Sydney. The Sydney protest was one of several across Australia, as Ukrainians begged Western nations to do more to end the war.

Bogdan Rudnytski interviewed Kateryna Argyrou. Ms Argirou is Co-Chair of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) and a Co-Founder and NSW Representative of the Australia-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (AUCC). We spoke about the Ukrainian community, displaced persons in Sydney and ani-war protests around the country. Australia granted more than 8,600 visas to Ukrainians, around 4,100 of these people have accepted the offer and are now in the country...


Kateryna was born in Ukraine, spent her childhood in Canada, and moved to Australia 10 years ago. She graduated with honors from the George Washington University and the London School of Economics. Ms Argirou is an investment analyst at Maple-Brown Abbott (MBA).
As international momentum builds to increase pressure on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, Australian Ukrainians is rallying to support the humanitarian effort.
