Hundreds of Victorians have rallied in support of Ukraine on Sunday, 20 February.

Hon Bill Shorten, Senator David Van and a Leader of the Victorian State Opposition Matthew Guy attended and spoke at the ‘Stand with Ukraine’ Rally in Melbourne.

They showed their support for all Ukrainians and impressed the importance of the issue to Australians.

The rally was organised by Association of Ukrainians in Australia to “show solidarity with Ukraine and support for its rightful independence and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders, including Crimea and the temporarily occupied regions of eastern Ukraine.”

In recent weeks, according to US intelligence, Moscow has massed an invasion force of troops, tanks, missile batteries and warships around Ukraine's borders in Belarus, Russia, Crimea and the Black Sea.

Despite many meetings with several world leaders and US special intelligence sources, Mr Putin and his government continue to deny any intention to invade Ukraine.
