The state government of NSW plans to collect the video stories of women who have done inspiring work in their careers, health, wellbeing and empowerment.
A new online portal aims to showcase women’s achievements in the New South Wales by collecting videos stories made by women themselves.
According to the NSW government website, the 'NSW women online showcase' will feature videos of women sharing their stories and accomplishments.
“The showcase aims to enable women to build confidence and resilience to pursue careers and opportunities in traditionally male-dominated fields. It also helps make re-entry into the workforce after having a family less overwhelming.”
Women over the age of 18 years are invited to submit their video stories by 31st January 2019.
Minister for Women Tanya Davies said these videos will inspire and encourage all women, young and old, to follow paths they may have otherwise overlooked, by seeing how others are navigating their way and overcoming challenges unique to women.
“If you feel you can offer advice or inspiration to other women by telling your story then we want to hear from you, and I encourage you to join our online mentoring community,” Mrs Davies said.
