Dr Mansoor Ahmed, Honorary Lecturer at the Strategic & Defence Studies Centre, Australian National University, says the situation is unlikely to have a major impact on the South Asian diaspora, but it could change significantly in the event of a full-scale war between the region’s arch rivals.


Dr Mansoor Ahmed says that the interests of global and regional powers are significantly influencing South Asia’s stability and Australia’s policy, and that Australia should play its part in reducing regional tensions and addressing the threats of extremism.
