Talking to SBS Urdu's Executive Producer Rehan Alavi, Interim Chief Minister Punjab, Dr Hasan Askari said Pakistani citizens living in other countries will not be able to vote from outside Pakistan as the E-voting system is not ready. Dr Askari said the mandate of the caretaker government is to hold fair, free and transparent elections. "The policy of the government is to have equal opportunity elections and to provide equal opportunity to all the political parties in Punjab. We have also asked the political parties to let use know if there are any issues, problems or if they have suggestions to help us to improve; then they should immediately contact us. We have several ministers working for the coming elections, so if there is any problem, let us know and we will try to resolve it." In response to missing person cases interim CM of the largest province said “if there are cases under Punjab government's domain then we will fairly deal with such cases and resolve issues as much as possible."
