Councillor Malik Sajjad of Gosnells, Western Australia, said that before the election, he had concerns that local voters might not accept him. Being in a new country, a new city, and coming from a different background, he was unsure whether people would trust him. However, Australia’s multicultural society not only welcomed him but also gave him far more votes, support, and encouragement than expected—an encouragement that gave his efforts a whole new momentum. People chose him as their representative, transcending colour, race, and background. This success proves that in Australia, the true foundations are capability, intention, and a spirit of service. He further stated that this victory is not just an individual achievement, it is a community triumph. This trust, unity, and the essence of multicultural Australia serve as a shining example, showing that anyone, regardless of their background, can move forward and make new history through hard work.

Councillor Malik Sajjad said that since there is currently no Pakistani High Commission office in Western Australia, he is making every effort to establish one in the near future, so that the needs and issues of the Pakistani community can be addressed quickly and effectively. He further stated that he is fully aware of the challenges faced by Pakistani students and is committed to providing them with every possible support, whether these challenges are related to education or everyday life.
Malik Sajjad said that his mission is not limited to winning votes in a single constituency; rather, he aims to implement his party’s manifesto for the welfare of his entire community. His goal is to ensure that every citizen, every student, and every family has access to justice, services, and support.
He also emphasized that all groups within the community—whether young people, women, or the elderly—should have equal representation and access to services in Western Australia. Malik Sajjad wants every individual to have the opportunity to progress according to their hard work and abilities.
This story reminds us how a single individual, through hard work, dedication, and community trust, can bring about positive change in Western Australia. Malik Sajjad’s efforts are not only a beacon of hope for the Pakistani community but also a demonstration that there are no barriers to public service and community welfare.
He further added that under Malik Sajjad’s leadership, the communities of Gosnells and Western Australia have come closer together, giving new life to the true spirit of a multicultural society, where people from all backgrounds can raise their voices for their rights and access to services.
