Family Medicine (Called General Practice in Australia) is the foundation of any quality health system. In Pakistan there is significant challenges due to lack of human resources and a support system for family medicine. Efforts are being done to establish collaboration between RACGP and College of Physician and Surgeons in Pakistan. Dr. Dr Yousaf Haroon Ahmad is chair of RWAV & Deputy Chair of RACGP Council told SBS that at one hand Australia can support training and education in Family medicine on other hand Australian doctors can have opportunity to work in Pakistan to experience prevalent disease and disorders in a developing country.
