Muslims around the world are preparing for Eid al-Adha, marked by the act of sacrifice during the month of Hajj. Dr. Shabir Ahmed, Imam of a Sydney mosque, emphasised the importance of following local laws for animal sacrifice, a point supported by other participants.

Dr. Shabbir Ahmed says that sacrificing with your own hands is certainly a better deed, but Australia is one of those countries that does not allow you to slaughter animals yourself. He further said that you should ask your trusted people to do the sacrifice abroad or in Pakistan. Since Eid is expected on the weekend, a lot of rush is expected at butchers and slaughterhouses.
Canberra resident Hamid Munga said that I take special care of the students here on the occasion of Qurbani, and I deliver meat to them so that they can also eat meat.
