SAARC ministers condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Meanwhile, Interior Minister of Pakistan Chaudhry Nisar called for respecting the fundamental rights of people, and stressed that legitimate freedom struggles should not be suppressed in the name of the fight against terrorism. Najmuddin Shaikh, the former Pakistani Foreign Secretary and ex-ambassador to the United States, expressed his views about SAARC session and relations between India and Pakistan.
