Will Imran factor make any change in Pakistani Sport

Players and sportsmen across the country and even abroad pouring messages of congratulation to Imran Khan on his party's success in Pakistan’s General election. Most of them have expressed hope that if Imran elects then popular sports such as cricket, hockey, squash and other could see a significant rise and revival in the tenure of former cricket captain-turned-politician Imran Khan. Senior sport journalist Shahid Hashmi reporting on reactions and expectations.

Senior sports journalist Shahid Hashmi told SBS Urdu that despite the fact that current PCB chairman Najem Sehti’s has achieved many goals but due to his political affiliation he won't be able to survive long as PCB chairman.  Imran has occasionally accused him of supporting his political rival Nawaz Sharif.

Pakistani sports and showbiz celebrities are pouring down their heart-felt wishes for a better Pakistan and taking twitter to congratulate Imran Khan on his earnest Victory. Imran Khan is better known as the legendary former captain of Pakistan who led his team to victory in the 1992 World Cup. It remains the only time that the country has won the elusive trophy.  Sport circles are hoping that Imran will strengthen all institutions as he promised including Cricket board and other sport boards of the country.

In the past Imran has demanded PCB to rule out people hired on basis of nepotism inside board. Sports analyst are expecting that sport will get its over due attention if Imran came to power but realized that new PM will have uphill task of fixing at many front including economy and corruption.
