Thanks to the intervention of the advocacy groups including the Federation of Ethnic Communities of Australia, they intervened with the tribunal to postpone their flight from Melbourne to Sydney, eventually deporting them to Scri Lanka.


A family of Tamil refugees who have been living in Queensland for the past five years are waiting to be deported to Sri Lanka after being arrested by migrant police over the weekend for a move to Melbourne.
