Trump administration rushes to his defence over book

Allies of United States president Donald Trump have come to his defence after a book on life inside his administration renewed questions over his mental state.

Mr Trump has also gone on the offensive, talking about what he calls his "stable genius" and attacking the book and those associated with it.

Meanwhile, former key aide Steven Bannon has apologised for his remarks in the book, professing his support for the President and his work.
