17 hurt in Perth bus crash

A crash between two buses in Warwick has left 17 people with injuries, five of whom needed hospital treatment.

All 17 passengers have been injured in a crash between two Perth buses in the northern suburb of Warwick.

One of the buses was travelling on Beach Road just before 6pm (WST) on Wednesday when it was involved in a rear-end collision with a stationary bus at a speed of about 50km/h.

Of the 17 commuters on both buses, five required hospital treatment for non-life threatening injuries, while the remaining 12 were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Both buses were extensively damaged.

WA Police said neither of the drivers had been drinking alcohol, and appealed to witnesses to come forward.
