100 forced to flee chicken shop fire

Some 100 people have had to flee a western Sydney shopping centre after a chicken restaurant caught fire.

Hordes of hungry customers have been forced to abandon their chicken dinners after a fire in western Sydney.

The fire was sparked in the oven of a chicken restaurant at the Westpoint shopping centre on Sunday.

Some 100 shoppers evacuated the Blacktown centre before fire fighters doused the kitchen blaze.
