11-year-old airlifted from NSW footy game

An 11-year-old boy is in Westmead Children's Hospital with a possible spinal injury after being tackled in a rugby league game in the Blue Mountains.

An 11-year-old boy has been airlifted from a footy field in the NSW Blue Mountains to hospital with a possible spinal injury.

The boy lost feeling in his legs following a tackle in a local rugby league game in Warrimoo.

He has been taken by helicopter to Westmead Children's Hospital.
